When I get off this stupid iPad I will post up mu slightly less professional efforts.
There is a gallery that has opened up locally I might try and supply some stuff for. Any hints or tips regarding payments commissions etc. Email me if you prefer.
Ooh, London Plane is beautiful. Crazy looking grain patterns sometimes.

Most galleries will have a set percentage they add on top of your wholesale price. In my case, the shop add 35%.
She was very clear with me that I needed to work out my wholesale prices first. I couldn’t sell stuff to her for the same price I might sell it for on my own website for example as it would then obviously seem very expensive in her shop.
I’m terrible at selling myself and so I’d not really considered this aspect.
You need to charge what you’re worth. I find this incredibly difficult but by under valuing your craft, you also under value all craftspeople.
Then I moved on from events and bike parks to design and build my first car :
Then decided the car should have interchangeable bonnets. So the Maserati 450S influenced bonnet can be swapped with just 4 bolts for the Ferrari inspired bonnet
I forgot to mention snapping my foot off after building the bike park and needing a hydrotherapy tub and sauna to relax in so I built this:
Then a couple of seating options
And most recently I ‘man caved’ a corner of the garage

Flickr is fine.
You go to Share (little arrow thingy)>BBCode>select your size (these are large) and then copy the code that it provides and paste it in here.
Made a start on a Treehouse / play house for my daughter after summer last year doing bits and bobs when I could.
It became useable just before Christmas time and still adding to it.

Found a tree round the corner that had been cut down and cut into loads of sections, so decided to bring one home with me.
Its been sat in the garage for a few months so decided to make a side table/foot stool/thingy.
Planed the top and bottom, took the remains of the bark of the side and sanded it all down.
Got my router out to create a faux bark effect on the sides then finished it with a couple of coats of linseed oil, then clear wax.
Put 4 rubber casters on the bottom (part recessed) and job done.
Bloody heavy still, at least 30kgs.
yep just random freehand shapes works quite well IMO,
was going to make some more but my neighbour with a wood burner has been round to collect the rest for his wood store.
It will wander slightly just needs a firm hand, the beauty of the above is the lines needed to be random so any ‘wandering’ wasn’t a issue.
The rebates for the castors were kept neat but still done freehand, just marked lines out to keep inside of.
There really is some lovely stuff on this thread. I just got this back from print….

Drawn for a local restaurant. Its all done out in a beautiful monochrome art deco style, so they wanted some artwork that reflected that. So I drew this. Its 2.5 metres wide. Got it back from the printers the other day and the print quality is fantastic. Presently its being put in a lovely, eye-waveringly expensive Italian charcoal brushed alloy custom frame. I can’t wait to see it up on the wall
WCA – that new nose is gorgeous, much much better than the original nose.
This was last year, play house for the kids and some outside storage for big things to keep the shed less cluttered plus practice for building the shed this summer.
It’s slightly overbuilt – I could only find a decking website (american, side of the house stuff) and the sleepers are from a local timber place that cut their own wood (thanks for the tip timber) and are 11×7″ I could barely lift them when wet.
