Quick, wife's on her way back, just spotted my bike maintenance activities from last night have left spots of oil or gt85 on the NEW paving in our bike garden. I've discounted spraying it all with gt85, and have already placed shoes/chair legs etc over the stains whilst I come up with a plan.

I'm gonner get done. Any suggestions gladly received – I have about 20 mins before she's home….

If it's block paving and as it's fairly recently laid then lift the stained blocks and replace them upside down, problem solved.

If it's flagstones then you're probably screwed (and not in a good way) 😉

Fairy liquid first or that elbow grease stuff, then Jizer or gunk to get the last faint staining out

Tell her the paving needs to be sealed with oil to prevent frost damage, and then oil the whole lot.

End of problem and the creation of a large work area 🙂

on the NEW paving in our bike garden.

    😕 WTF is a "bike garden" ?

Or have you got bikes on the brain and meant to say "back garden" ?

Thanks peeps. It's kinda dark, not spotted. Shall try all the above when she's out running first thing tomorrow.

Ernie, it is actually a back garden. Well spotted though. Like the paving….

I use a citrus degreaser (Currently using Halfords Citrus Degreaser)…the aerosol ones that evaporate quickly. They're great at getting various things off surfaces…work a treat getting stubborn marks like permanent ink out of carpets and the like (Test in a discreet spot first). STW Top Tips 😉
