surely?
£4.99!!! She was pregnant at the time and was strapped for cash. Sent away here measurements and and got one back that fitted like a glove...even though it was a dress.
She took a bit of a chance but it paid off.
£4.99?! That is cheap. dont stand near any candles or lighters whilst wearing that!!!!
convert it's not necessarily a question of "letting" your parents pay. My dad paid for most of ours, I'm an only child of a single parent - he wanted to pay, he enjoyed paying. I had to rein his spending in!
Feenster, all the best to both of you.
Here you go konabunny, just found you one for £4.00!!!
Blimey. £4!
I think i'll buy one to wear at work for that price.
It would suit you harry.
jesus x christ. even with the delivery fee bumped up, how can they possibly make a profit on that?
Wow that's impressive £4 for a dress made to fit! Think you may be surprised with the quality as well. I went to Oman and took a really nice work shirt from Bennetton they made me loads exactly the same size at about £2 each now I always get complimentary comments when I wear those shirts!!
Did you get a goodbye shag?
On the OP's original question. Its a difficult one. I have seen me order £40k worth of van for a customer and it be cancelled before delivery. All i have been able to take off them was the deposit on order. Usually £1500-£2k. I have never worked anywhere that deemed it possible to chase them for anymore, even though its in the terms and conditions of 20% if cancelled.
Anyhow, in this instance you are cancelling way to late to be able to say they can rebook another event so i would say if it got to court you would have to cough up. Would it be 50%? i dont think so. Did you have to pay a deposit to book them? I would suggest £1000 to £1500 is more than enough to cover their loses and i would expect a court would agree considering no cancellation clauses in place
I would say 25% maximum. I run a service business and we get nothing when a customer cancel's on us. Its not in our t's & c's but if it was we would never get any work.
I would say that unless they are shameless rip off merchants, they shouldn't be making more than 25% net profit.
If they won't shift I would say get round to my back garden, charge friends and family and friends of friends (maybe advertise on here) and have a bloody good blowout. You might recover your costs (ok probably won't) but at least they will have had to work for the money.
I would say that unless they are shameless rip off merchants,
have the do anyway, but turn it into a massive party and charge 20 quid a head. you'll not be out of pocket and will have a good old knees up.
£4500 on food - shit how much was the whole lot gonna cost? suppose it could have been worse cold feet on the wedding morning..........
Just had a thought, dont cancell it invite all your mates from STW maye they could chip in £20/head you could get some MTB vids (or porn) going. the best man still gets to do his speach and you can get rat arsed and go biking in the morning with your new 100 mates knowing you wont get shit from the missis.
