I think this is a great idea and good luck but isnt at least some of the point of a pump track is that it takes up hardly any space so you can build one anywhere ie an urban location. That way anyone (including non driving youths) can ride it and just grind out a quick 30 minute session.
Building it in the middle of a quarry so you need to drive to get to it seems like you are missing a trick really.
i can go use it every night and morn and im a youfe
you try finding an available urban space! ;-P
have you got permission?
aye
from darrel? at guilson quarry? or bcc?
im just nosy
Pump tracks are pump tracks. Put them wherever you can. Then love and joy will rule the world
They generally aren't worth driving to but as there's so few at the moment I guess people do. I think the urban things was more about the fact people could squeeze them in your typical (American
backyard.
*bump*
Anymore for anymore?
where abouts on the flappit is it going to be or where are you meeting?
tom
Not too far from where the big 4x4-blocking stones and dirt banking has been put. You'll see a big black Mercedes Sprinter van on the verge most likely. You'll probably be able to see us from the road anyway as the spot is close to the road. If you watch the start of the video we did earlier this week you'll see what/where I mean...
See you tomorrow!
yep i know where that is ill be coming from the moor side from the end of the airfeild so will see the proposed track first before the van
i might even be on time or early for once!
I will be there tomorrow with a bit of luck, what time are you intending to leave the quarry?
fraid i cant come tomorrow going out
Pic from Day 1...
I hurt now. Got a lot done today despite the blazing sun, sand storms, howling winds and lashing rain, oh and the concrete mud we were digging through. Might have to take it easy tomorrow and go digging at Gisburn
Oh and Matt your rear passenger side brake light is out on the van
is there going to be another up there apart from tomorrow?
just thought i would tell you guys the weather is sh1te and everything is soaked
+ its windyer that yesterday
i could barely move my hands last night, my wrists ached so much... feeling fine today though, but i can't make it at all i'm afraid. good luck with it today chaps.
I'm with Crisped, I don't get it either! Looks like a gym exercise area.
Hey, sorry I couldn't make it down today after yesterday, had to go back to York in the morning would of loved to have ridden it, back and arms really stiff today. #Might# be able to come down another week.
How did it go today? Did enough people turn up to get it finished? I'm well up for putting in some finishing touches some time soon?
i might go up tomorrow to build some jumps somewhere on there
How did it go yesterday then?
am available on the sunday. mafu26@hotmail.com
