Neat. No patent on that I assume so I can nick the idea? 😀

But yeah, nice idea. I don’t have a van but may have one for long trips and something like that could be handy. In fact I wonder if a simple version would work in my Civic with the back down 😀 (Honda themselves do a mount for a bike standing upright in the back).

If you could figure out a way of having the rack/pallet on some kind of quick release, grab some cushions, and you got a settee to sit on after the ride as well.

I just turn the bars to the side & bungee to inside of van
Can stack 5 bikes that way

No patent feel fee to make one going to build one for home
will try the bungee’s first as there’s no much movement of the bikes in the stand just need some pipe lagging on the bars

I’ve got something very similar (not in a vehicle though) but it isn’t L shaped. It started out flat on the floor but the bikes tended to lean rakishly so its now vertical against a wall and its even better as the bikes just roll into it.

The slats have three different spacings to fit roadie, winter/mud and summer/fat tyres.

Not bad for a couple of free pallets, especially if you can find a huge lightweight job.
