Took mine off-road for the first time today after riding all summer and winding the pads in properly before the ride. Pads wore at an alarming rate (not overly surprised as the poor wet weather performance is mentioned)…

So what are people using as a replacement? Bog standard Shimano or another recommendation? Thanks

As they’re Shimano fit, you’ve got loads of choice. I picked up a load of Clarks sintered ones from halfords in a sale a while back and they seem to work well.

Too much choice! Hence the question 😉

I just replaced the pads on my Spyre SLCs with RWD sintered pads (from wiggle) and am very impressed – lots of power, no squealing experienced even though I was riding in lots of mud and wet.

I put on superstar sintered and the front howled like mad, the rear not at all, don’t think it was heat related but not sure. so trying superstar organic and will see how they go.
    RWD are damn good.
