One of the things I love about mountain biking along with the actual riding is the geekfest which is tweaking the bike.

I’ve been experimenting with different transmissions and I think I’ve found, for me anyway, transmission nirvana.

Riding on Saturday for the first time with the current setup everything just worked flawlessly and felt right.

so what is this perfect setup I hear you ask?

XT 11-36 cassette, Zee rear mech, saint cranks with a Works narrow/wide 32T chainring and a Saint M820 shifter direct mounted to my XT brakes.

So now it’s onto fettling my HT 🙂
