Just wondering if anybody has access or would be able to supply me with some titanium sheet off cuts cheap.

Need some around 1 – 1.2mm thick around the A4 size

Theres titanium sheet on ebay, but its not cheap that thick.

Yep, already got some bits off eBay but need more.

Anything over 0.7mm would be fine.

Not exactly. You need titanium foil rather than sheet for a caldera cone….

But it is camping related, I’m building a titanium firebox for burning wood for heat/cooking but leaves ‘no trace’ to the ground.

I have a stainless one at present but it weighs in at 2.5kg, but a Ti one would be around 1kg.

Would Ti not burn?

Burn – no.
It does tend to warp slightly under extreme heat if not thick enough, but it springs back to shape when it cools naturally.
Not the easiest metal to work with or get hold of either, hence the post.

Sure there must be someone on here that will have some squirrelled away. Don’t need a huge amount.

Surely for ‘leave no trace’ camp fires you just need to dig up a bit of turf, have your fire then put the turf back in the morning..?

It also enables you to have small campfires on campsite that do allow fires.
