I really should listen to advice eh? Be good if the techie folk who posted on the previous thread could help out here before I contact John Lewis - I bought the Sony Bravia LED and down the right-hand side there is about 3-4" of pale glow on the screen. Have played with pic adjustments, including reducing the backlighting to minimum and it makes no difference. Doesn't look right to me. Have I got a faulty one?

That's the problem, if you read AVF's, after an hour you will be sucked into a whirlpool of fear, suspicion and fanboy bullshit. Best of just buying a telly and take it back if it bugs you.

I've taken stuff back which is faulty, or an unwanted present with no receipt and they've replaced it no questions asked.
