What problem is it trying to resolve?

Is it being able to crush beer cans for recycling whilst cycling?

What problem is it trying to resolve?

Someone probably asked: "What's the highest number of pivot bearings we can get on a single bicycle?"

Does that steering actually turn?
Or is it one of those idiotic downhill speed record attempt bikes?

They've managed 7" of travel on a 29er - 33lbs for a 7" bike isn't bad, especially one with big wheels. And the complicated linkage looks like it prevents the wheel tucking under as much as possible.

Right. That's about as nice as I can be about it. It's horrific looking, and painted in extra-horrific colours to drive that point home. And 7" of travel out of a tiny DT shock? Must be a mental leverage ration.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should!

If it works why not? There's no for to service.
It's a bit unconventional but if it rides ok I'd have one.

Ouch - looks like the suspension is linked, but isn't. This was better:

The linked suspension thing has been done many times. Here's Muddy Fox's Intereactive

And a whole thread on them here: http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=48962

EDIT - just looked at the Bikerumor article - so it's not even linked so they've just got loads of metalwork without even the excuse of that...

supposedly an anti-dive thing under hard braking.

The second picture of the blue/yellow bike somehow manages to look worse than the initial picture!
