[#5708149]

I've always fancied a 'Mog. It's just over the Forth and I have to drive past it on Friday. I think the stars are aligning...

That's pretty cool. I had a u1500ag and it was an awesome bit of kit. Would go anywhere. Here's a useful link but be prepared to loose an hour or two! - http://www.unimogs.co.uk/newsletter.asp

You could fit a helluva lot of wood in the back of that.

Buy it!!!

There's some good blogs/images out there of converted Bedford horseboxes with woodburners fitted and big enough to take a wood store with you 🙂

I was going to mention that there quite slow too, or at least the one a friend has(had?) was, but the spec's suggest they have a max of 66mph (admittedly that is a max, not a cruising speed)

Now if it was a Pinzgauer , that would a lot more fun
oh dear... luckily I don't have a spare £21000
Man the guys a criminal.. "NEVER USED FOR OFF ROADING" 😯

Not pretty (mainly that paint job!) but go anywhere...
[img] [/img]

I need a lottery ticket, as I need a short Pinzgauer as my everyday car..

PS: Sorry to distract you from the Uni-mog love-in 😳

I've got a yearning for one of these;

this is slightly less practical but you'd get some respect driving round town;

Don't really get this particular niche. What's good about these then?

What's good about these then?

In my examples, they're bloody great trucks with 8+ litre engines that go vroom!

(and in the first one can be justified with a veneer of 'it'll make a practical all road camper van' if you squint a bit)

This is only £6k and would make a fine support vehicle for 24hr mtb races

They're for people who go camping in Africa (or people who wish they were people who go camping in Africa).

Bet they've (mostly) got huge blind spots.

Would you spot the cyclist who'd pulled up beside you as you wait to turn?

Yes, you'd spend your entire time towing out Audis and BMWs that had got stuck in the mud...

Aaaaargh! McMoonter you are a very bad man, love Unimogs and big 4x4 toys.
Had to compromise on mine due to storage and the narrow access up the lane to our house, so ended up with this - carries 8 peeps, sleeps 2, Subaru 2.2 powered, 4x4 with front and rear diffs and I love it.

That's *lovely*. Great engineering, fantastic build quality and looks like a Tonka-Toy.

Some awesome vehicles here. I always fancied one that doubles up as a mobile sound-system. Just rock up to some picturesque remote place: Instant rave 🙂

Is this in Sheffield? I've often admired it if it's the same one.

I live near an MoD Vehicle servicing depot and they have loads of small van things with really funny camber angles, don't know what they are called but they look like they'd be the business.

Love the patronising tone of the Fuso vid - "the Fuso can be driven by anyone" (- Including blondes! look!) 😀

I saw that happen once. They picked the venue of an enduro. We raced through the aftermath - stoned pill-head are surprisingly nimble when 200 enduro bikes rip through them at 60.

You'd spend the entire time tearing the front/rear ends off Audis and BMWs 😀

That MOD site is dangerous - I'm now wondering if I can run my business from this:
