After he's quietened down & gone to bed, start knocking on your ceiling with a broom handle until he comes & sees you. Tell him you haven't a clue what he's on about (look sleepy)
Failing that, wait till he's gone to bed & put some AC/DC or summink on DEAD loud on repeat, leave the house & sleep at a mates.
Oh, & get a tube of silicone sealant & after he's gone to bed, put loads round his door/frame so he can't get out.

Start by having a friendly chat with him, point out in a nice way that does he realize he makes a lot of noise that is very disturbing and could he be more respectful, could work if he dismisses you, find some new hells angel type friends to have a word with him.
