    I’m using firefox on linux (fedora 13) I click on the link and it just opens the file as a text page, how do I install this on my linux box??

    toys19, I’m not sure if there are any additional steps because you are running Linux, but for for Firefox, you need to install the greasemonkey plugin first.

    You can find that here:

    Oh for the record, I just got the script working in Safari on OSX using Ninjakit.

    Why do you use Safari over Chrome dude?

    but I see a difference between choosing not to read the Daily Mail and trying to expunge every reference to it..

    no one is trying to expunge any member they are just choosing to not read it

    Ah right. I find it clunky compared to Chrome. I’m not missing my soul yet either.

    I’d just be too curious as to which numpty said what stupid thing, so it wouldn’t work for me!

    Change the 4th line @include setting, or add a new one – take out the www.

    I still can’t get it to work – anyone able to explain in simple language – firefox with greasemonkey installed here but I seem to have no way of editing the script that I can see

    There’s a certain irony here, I could post up a possible solution to the problem, but it wouldn’t be read. 😛

    Here’s one way to update it:
    1) Download the script, save it to your desktop
    2) Open it with notepad or some other plain text editor
    3) Add the following line, after line 4 (which looks similar)
    // @include http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/*
    4) Save it
    5) Drag it into your Firefox window
    6) Do any other necessary stuff
