Draw this.

Any medium. Painted, drawn, digital whatever. It's your interpretation and it's never wrong..

I wasn't feeling like a pencil and notebook last night, so went for a digital tracing;
[img] [/img]
And then dropped it back into Photoshop to paintify the colours, but in the end, I'm not sure I like the combination. The 'painting' on its own doesn't qualify - I just used the mixer brush onto of the photo colours.

This is what I pick to interpret what I wanted to represent with regards to the boundary set, yet playfully adapting them to combine with the complexities of subject and developed image placed, for presenting the evolution to become the final chosen image.

Redthunder I like your first cut. Have you tried inking in first then shading the areas with colour, like how a stained glass window is built up.

Just a bit of a play around with photo apps on the phone. Nothing really artistic as I can't draw to save my life, but an old school sepia treatment works ok-ish.

@militant

What proggy did you use for your digital trace ?

Great stuff so far ๐Ÿ™‚

Any suggestions for next Friday. I have a classic nude sculpture I could photograph ?

My trace was hand-drawn in Illustrator using a graphic tablet.

Strokes were given a standard pencil or charcoal brush. Dropped the photo in, and then just drew on top of it. Nothing fancy, or particularly arty.

I have a pencil and paper sketch of the conker to finish off, depends if I get the time...

Had a go at the conker. Mixed media ๐Ÿ˜‰ Crayons, Watercolours, Fountain Pen and all on used the finest 80g photocopy paper.

@catflees

Nude it will be. I've got three classical figures earmarked for Friday.

I will also post a detailed drawing guide from a book that got me back into drawing.

The horse would be a good start.
