Shimano singlespeed freewheel on my Genesis Day 01 decided to turn no-speed on the commute home the other day. Limped home and replaced with another I had in the bike bits bin, but found the chain pitch was so different it wasn't meshing any more! New drivetrain required then.
I'm struggling to find a 42T steel 5 bolt 130mm PCD chainring, preferably not ramped. I'm after steel for longevity, and cheapness for my wallet, but I've looked at all the usual suspects (CRC,wiggle etc) and not been able to find anything. Has anyone got any suggestions for a suitable chainring?

not sure you'll find a steel one though.
Thorn ones are OK.
Goldtec are good too

Surly. But they seem to be quite expensive at the moment:

Hadn't seen velosolo before, thanks for that tip! A lot of the others seem to be out of stock unfortunately.
Charlie got a couple of bits in for me from Salsa last week, only took a couple of days. Give him a ring.
