Awful game. (I've only played the PS1 variant)

I loved most of the varients. Fantastic when you got it right, frustrating when you got it wrong.

Awful game.

It's really not.

It's not to my tastes. I always struggled with it, it was a sod to click with let alone master, and I never bought into the dancy 'culture' it came with.

But. It was a landmark title and in the right hands (ie, not mine) it was close to gaming perfection. To suggest otherwise is (insert derogatory description here).

On a point of note all other things aside, the titular "Wipeout game studio" was Psygnosis in all but name. That alone should make this headline news for any gamers of a certain age.

Thanks for sharing the link, I'd not have known otherwise. Sad day.

Didn't psygnosis also make Lemmings?

Sounds to me like EA are shafting yet another producer, take them over and close them down.
