  • So, T-Mobile keep trying to flog me porn…

… and it’s quite embarrassing, as it’s a company phone.

It’s a Samsung Omnia 7 running Windows Phone 7, and T-Mobile have over-ridden the search function in the browser to direct you to their site, where they show ads.

Unfortunately, the leading banner is invariably something flogging, uh, “erotic content”, and I’ve already had some difficulty explaining this to colleagues who have used my phone and seen it!

Everyone’s too familiar with targeted ads based on your browsing habits, if you know what I mean.

How do I make it stop before the rumours spread far and wide? 🙂

Yeah – if the browser on my Desire sends me to the T-Mobile website there’s undoubedly some bint in her scanties on full display.

I just changed my home page to google. Can you not just do that? Should be somewhere in the browser settings.

I can see how it would be a bit embarassing. If you can’t resolve it, I’d get it into the store, explain the situation, show them it and ask them to sort it.

stumpy – the problem lies with the search function. It’s one of those touch sensitive buttons and it’s REALLY sensitive, so when you’re in the browser you can end up at the search page by mistake, and it’s not something you can change in the options.
