I know the shoes for flat pedals thing has been done many times, but stick with me. I have an original set of 5.10 Impacts which are great, very sticky and just the right amount of stiffness. However when ever I’m out in the mountains, as opposed to a trail centre I feel a little under shoed. I also hill walk and would never go out in footware with so little grip, support or heel counter. What do other wear for big days out in the hills?

i have some karrimor boots which seem very grippy on flats, and are comfy for walking.
