I’ve seen the dodgy b/w picture of the ti-Ragley and it looks a little gate like for an 18″ frame. Is there a 16″ frame built up and has anyone a pic of it? Interested in this bike (though more likely to be the alu version of it), I have been after a slackish head angled hardtail for a while, was going to try and get hold of a Kona Cowan/Stuff, but ‘the whatever it’s going to be called’ could be just the thing.

Yes there is one built up. Haven’t seen any pics yet.

I think the “pretty big looking” might be cos I’ve got the saddle down at ‘doss height’ and it’s shot from low down.

It’s 18in from centre of BB to top of seattube. It’s an 18in 18in frame.

The alloy one will have a 1.5in headtube and will be called mmmBop.

How long are the chain stays? and have you got a price for the steel and alu versions yet?

I’ve got the 16″ Ragley, but it’s not got the proper hose / cable clips on it so you can only see this picture.

I’ll have it looking right tomorrow and will get some photos taken.

Looking like £249 for the steel and £259 for alloy.

All quite different though the same geometry.

Steel is bomber and tough and 27.2mm post for a springy ride.
Alloy is 1.5in headset and rigid and braap.
Ti is whoop and whoosh and 31.6mm post and yeehah.

We did, but only just.

We got to the zoo at 4:10pm, and last tickets were issued at 4pm. So the entry gates were lost. The three of us decided that we weren’t going to come all the way to Taiwan and not see the pandas, so we, er, sort of waited by the exit until someone came out, then walked through the automatic door into the exit lobby. Then waited by the other door until someone came into the lobby and went into the zoo proper.

We got to the panda place just as they were having their final feed of the day. They were cool,though they act exactly like men in panda suits would. They had put piles of bamboo and they were fair bombing around munching on them.

The rest of the zoo was OK, but kind of getting empty (as it closed at 5pm). The Nocturnal house was proper old school small cages and awful.

Funniest moment was up at the top of the zoo when we’d been walking for about 10mins without seeing anyone, and passing enclosures for brown bears and coyotes. All of a sudden, this brown furry thing came running round a corner. I have never been so close to shitting myself. It was just an alsatian out on a run with its owner, on a bike.
