See my post on ‘Access to Forests’

First thing you can do is to go here Forest Access Users Group and register your view as a cyclist that access shoud be maintained.

Second thing would be to go here Call for Views and let the Panel know your views directly.

The more of us who resposnd the more likely we are to keep our access.

Doesn’t seem very sticky, it’s slid to the bottom of the first page, or at least had until I posted this 😉

But it does have a star…

Maybe you need a brown star to be sticky, not gold?

Sticky in the Bike Forum, but not in the Overview.

Subtle, back at the top of both now for the next 30 seconds.

If anyone puts up some boilerplate so that I can send an elegant and crafted email to defra about my views on forests that would be appreciated.

    I got as far as:

    Dear Defra,

I like bicycles and trees, especially where I live, which is in Bristol. Can you carry on letting me ride in them please.

    Ta,

    thebunk

    I think it needs improvement..

TheBunk, I think the more individual your response it, the better. You could talk about specific woods in Bristol, for example in Leigh Woods and 50 Acre Wood the Forestry Commission have really gone the extra mile to promote access by mountain bikers and ensure that there are proper facilities for us.

This is what Hamsterley TrailBlazers have written, by way of an example:

Done, only took 2 seconds. Those folk need a Facebook campaign, that’s what they need.

I bet it took some courage to add ‘bike’ to that statement! But good for them, it’s made me feel warm and fuzzy 🙂

Although the call for views has now closed we can still keep pressure on the Independent Panel.

It would be good to sign the petition at 38 degrees(see the third item)
