Evening all, have just stripped bike ready for a change and whilst cleaning the forks and checking everything over i noticed that the rebound adjuster turns infinitly in either direction, which it didnt when i set it. They are coming apart soon for a service, but is this a bad sign?
Has something likely to have come undone, im pretty certain that its not the allen headed red knob worn or anything as ive tried using an allen key as well to the same effect. So any ideas?

Allen grub screw that the rebound adjuster hex shaft fits into has probably rounded as it plastic, try with a long flat ended allen key to see if that turns it, if not you’ll need a new rebound assembly as they are punched together and you can’t get the silly things apart.

    Cheers, I’ll check that later.

Might treat myself to a new fork anyway if it’s knackered, by the time I’ve serviced it, re sprung it and replaced the rebound I’ll be on my way to the cost of a new one anyway, plus I need a treat 😀
