Dread meets Punk Rockers Uptown is the Don Letts lp- the music he used to play in the Roxy.

The Soul Jazz 100% etc. series is also nice and a good night out if you get the chance. So many good recommendations, so many different genres, Dr.Ali, Horace Andy, Upsetters, John Holt, Eek a Mouse, the list is endless.

+ 1 congos. heart of the congos for me is the most perfect album made

+ 1 for King Tubby as well though I like those albums with Augustus Pablo, rockers meets tubby uptown, firehouse etc

We saw them at the 02 academy in Sheffield last year and they were excellent - Toots had so much energy.
