Not as pretty as the hardtails but still a good looking bike.
Very much want, but can't afford for me

Very nice, looks a bit like a Cotic Rocket I think.

oh right so I do actually like the bike and it doesn't cost £1800 for the frame?

No, just an absolute try hard that spouts guff on forums as though you're Aaron Gwin crossed with Dave Weagle.

So my option differs from you and you start with insults. It seems a bit personal and a bit weird that you are stalking me online.

If it fits 27.5+ won't it fit 29"?

Steel full-sussers. There's defo a 'look' to them.
Skinny main tubes, and the back ends all have similar shock placement.
I like 🙂 though I'm biased, owning a Bolt.

I've seen you ride a bike

The finer intricacies of suspension design should be well down your list of priorities

WTF has me riding a bike got to do with thinking a bike isn't pretty looking or knowing anything about how suspension works?

trolling me online seems to be quite high up your list.

Rorschach isn't impressed either, why not comment on his posts as well.

Looks really stylish. Hope it's suitable for 4 - 5ft drops and up to 5 ft gaps, but not sure 138mm travel will be enough?

Biting is optional.

All the best.

Caminades defo have a 'look' to them, but there aren't as many straight lines.

Interesting design that, but shocking rear shock placement. That's going to die so fast in muddy conditions!

Mincing part-timer opinion here, which matters.

It just looks wrong, and is so far removed from the handsomeness of a gulf colours shan it's barely believable.

Poah is still a bit trolly though. 🙂

That Caminades looks a bit strange (not in a bad way)

It's ugly, it doesn't look as clean as the Cotic and the whole design looks a little bit last decade.

I'm awful on a bike, can I comment?

If so i have to say I'm not a fan. For 1800 quid you'd really want to have steel full susser to part with that..

Looks a bit 'home made' if you ask me. Not sure why you'd buy one over the numerous carbon wonderbikes out there...

I reckon the Shan is the pick of the bunch looks-wise, but I'd pick the Starling for it's semi-custom geometry (but only to lower the seat tube, the rest is fine).

All hypothetical though, I'm very happy with my aluminium enduro weapon.

Well, I've got a Shan Gulf, and an Oka frame now after getting a bit carried away. 😳

I've also got a Rocket. I do like this new one but as above, maybe a teensy bit underwhelmed. I don't think I'd swap my Rocket for it anyway.

It looks great though. Kind of like a Rocket and a Starling together.
I think they may have released pictures a bit soon, and should have waited until they had their usual stunning paint jobs on it.
But yeah, like it.

Shame, I have a Shan & was expecting big things. Disappointed to see it's like a rocket, would have thought they could have come up with something better

I've never ridden a steal fs but athletically I prefer the Cotic. Very subjective choice though of course.

Wonder how different they ride though?

Speaking as someone with a steel hardtail that cost more than plenty of full-sus bikes, my main priority really is how something makes me feel/how it looks. And that looks pretty good to me, although I'm not as hot for it as I am for the Cotics.

🙂

I remember giving my nod of approval to Cy with the regards those swirly graphics circa 2006 but I wish he'd change to more normal ones again!

Cotic looks far more pleasing to my eyes. Not feeling this. Be interested to see how it rides though.

Looks good, lots of options for steel full sus all of a sudden.

On a side note, have they stopped selling the Shan GT already as it's not been on their site for a while? Hope not, there isn't many options for that sort of 29er yet.

D&D cycles list the GT, so no I don't think so. Maybe it's got lost somehow in their website redesign.

I quite like it, but am a bit underwhelmed by the paint jobs etc. It doesn't really look like any of their other bikes though.

Don't think that the shock position will be an issue - hasn't affected the Rocked, my Banshee had a shock in a similar place and that was fine.
