Ok. So our current mattress is getting to the end of it's life - my wife would very much like a Tempur but i've vetoed that due to the fact that I've tried them and they're just too hot.
So - we're looking at pocket sprung - the question being what's an 'acceptable' spring count? There's a local furniture shop selling Reylon (?) mattresses - 1400 spring count, cashmere, felt etc etc. Supposedly discounted down to just over £1000. 4-6 week delivery whilst it's made to order.
That seemed like a good idea though I'm sceptical of the non-sale / non-discounted price they quoted and looking online briefly there seems to be a wealth of different options with spring counts between 1400 and 3000! I'm sure not all springs are equal etc and materials also have an important part to play...
So - for a budget of about £1000 can anyone point me in the direction of a decent online stockist of a well-made pocket-sprung mattress that'll last for more than 3 years?
