I want to fit a 203mm shimano rotor to a set of Judy XC forks. The caliper is a Shimano Deore (single pot) can you tell what adaptor or fittings I need.

cheers

I think you'll find Judy forks are 180mm maximum rotor size (maybe even 160).

you probably won't die, but you might.

what he said I would assume that is too much force for that fork tbh

Judy is IS on the fork iirc and I assume deore is post mount caliper [ flat]
In which case a 203 IS to post is what you need if you ignor etha bove advice
WHy so much on such an old /poor fork?

I've a 185 rotor and QR hub on an old 32mm legged bomber. No problems for me?

Judy's were only 28mm stanchions and fairly floppy even with 160mm disks on them.

Still miss my Judy Race forks - 80ish mm of coil plushness in that lovely Boxer metallic red.

Safer than a 140mm rotor and a QR hub, Xiphon. Think about it. The bigger the rotor the lower the wheel ejection force: less force on the caliper and a better caliper position with a bigger rotor.

FWIW I tore the disc tabs off a pair of twin crown judys using a 185mm rotor, and before it actually broke it knackered the disc side bushing rather rapidly...
