Are all the trails open now?

Nope. Still the big diversion cutting out the descents leading to the loop 1\2 split.

It's been a while since I went to Penmachno. Is it still worth doing with the current diversion as we may be heading down there this weekend.
Cheers

Maybe.

But there's a lot of groundwater as usual on loop 2 and our enjoyment of the ride was spoiled a little by having excrutiatingly cold feet.

I'd avoid if the forecast was cold TBH.

You can always link it up with a loop from Betwys/Dolwyddelan.

We usually do half of Elin's Revenge from the Bikefax guidebook,
then climb up from Dolwy, do a bit of Penmach then do the secondhalf back to Betwys.

It's ace.

You can make it as tough or as easy as you like, it's fun and the little tarmac climb back up to Fron Goch will make you cry.

Can lend you the guidebook if you need it.

Cheers for the offer Rusty but I'd struggle to get it before Saturday.
Not particularly bothered by a few puddles chakaping ๐Ÿ˜‰

It's supposed to be fairly mild this weekend too.

Marin Trail was open last week - only 7 miles up the road ๐Ÿ™‚

@rustyspanner don't suppose you have a GPX do you? Sounds good that route

Sorry, I'm still on paper maps.
Scannerless at the mo too.

The route is out there somewhere (a very, very quick Google search would suggest)- or you could buy the book?

Bregante is loaded (from blackmailing Binners and stealing Junky's dinner money).
I'm sure he can afford to buy his own ๐Ÿ˜€

It's this book, btw.

It's ace.
Getting on a bit now and the forestry has changed in places - the Bedgellert forest route is unrecognisable, for instance, but well worth buying.
