We are getting a Virgin Tivo next week and as part of the deal we will get the existing V+ box moved to another room. As there is no ariel connection in the room that the V+ box will be moving to, there is no point in getting a new TV with Freeview. I wondered if I got a PC monitor with an HDMI input, I could use that instead. I could also connect it to the PC via a DVI connection.

Has anyone done this, or what have I not thought through?

    Thanks

Yes, bought a 23in Hyundai TFT monitor from CPC and a Freeview box with an HDMI out. Superb results, way better than some of the offerings I see in the local shops.

Still not as good as a decent CRT though!!

I watch tv on a 23in Samsung monitor connected via HDMI, really good picture quality, very happy with it.
