For years I’ve been bending this back into shape, yet today one gnarly root section finally killed it. Can’t find one on the web, which didn’t surprise me really. Before I am forced to bin the frame, which I really do not want to do, has anybody got one going spare? Happy to pay.

did think about that, yet that road lies new Dartmoor Hornet, not old PACE.

Looked at the hanger. It’s metal. It’s bent. G-clamp + adjustable spanner + ignorance + hammer = job done. Kind of works, which is where it has been for years, so happy lad.

BETD do them but don’t list them on line. It’s where I got mine from when the original cheese went stale.

There was supposed to be a 142×12 in the works but it never happened.

Do you still need it? Yours for £20.

Indeed I’ve been swamped with kindness – really, I have. PACE themselves were very helpful, and then there’s the chap who is having Maxle dropouts made for his, going to 142.

My bike is now alive and well thanks to STW generosity. I’m gobsmacked really. Thank you.

However, my bike is standard; well as ‘standard’ as any bike built from scratch can be. It seems the thing to do is go 1×10, change the head angle, fit a maxle on the rear, run a dropper. What an interesting concept – I prefer this bike to my Orange 5, so these slight changes are inspirational.

Really rather lovely RC303 Maxle conversion. Want to wear them, not fit to my grubby bike. Now just need a Maxle, Hope conversion kit and some time.

Did you get two sets made up, so you’ve got some spares?

He now has many many dropouts….LOL

And they are appreciated! Had my bike for must be seven years now, and still do forty miles a week on it. Nice to keep it going 🙂
