seems a little bit daft though, since the holes are pre-drilled with a normal bit and still have a radius in the corners you might as well just use a normal mill? Unless you don't already have a mill, though I'm not sure how you'd have made the base material block if you didn't.
Though it does look like it's much deeper than you'd want to go with a 2mm milling bit I guess.

That's not a rotary broach, it's a variation of a Watts drill, which has been around for a long time.

Rotary broaching has a limited working depth due to the cutter being set at an angle limiting the length of cutting bit, whereas a watts drill only has limitations similar to a normal drill.

Clever, I wonder what the arrangement is that allows/manages the off-centre rotation...bit like a Wankel rotor?
