btw the noise is really relaxing to listen to through headphones, sort of like a lego rain stick!

GBCs have been going for a while, several years now. I think it originally came out of a Brickfest. That video's insanity aside, the idea is to create modular units, so that different people can all bring their own devices and then chain them all together.
