It's called "London Road". Originally after London Road, but now after London Road. Not a road in London.

Ah cheers. Might as well fire off some questions 😆

Is it a Planet X branded bike? and will it be available with and without forks?

Presumably its going to come in lighter than the Kaffenback

I wonder if it will fit a normal compact chainset with wider tyres?

I'm looking forward to seeing this one.

Wasn't there a 'Kaffenback Trail' alluded to on these pages a while back?

Is this essentially an Uncle John replacement?

No. As it's more road based than CX.
And has discs.

Will it have a carbon fork that will be disc ready and have mudguard mounts? My UJ frame is disc ready but the fork isn't, and I'm finding it difficult to find a fork that will take both discs and mudguards, oh and if the answer to the above is yes is there any chance the fork will be available separately? Thanks.

what's the geometry going to be like in comparison to something like a kaffenback/pompino?

Well, kind of similar. Longer back end than the Kaffenback.

Any chance it can have a lovely bright paint job (helps with not getting squashed in winter) all the cheapish winter roadies I look at seem to come in various shades of 'runmeover black' or 'didn'tseeyouthere brown'

This is relevant to my interests. Shame the Ragley Cragg Vale wasn't disc, I'd rather one of those than a PX.

Hey Brant,

are you allowed to give us any photos or actual geometry details? I have a tax rebate coming and will be requiring a bike-project to put a dent back into my savings.

My girlfriend is commuting on a sample from Hebden to Rochdale tomorrow.

Does that help?

This looks nice, however heard rumours of a pickenfluck with clearance for a road compact chainset and rack and guard mounts, is it true??

Pickenflick has been revised to take a road crank. But it's not had rack and guard mounts added as it's a cyclocross bike.

We'll be working on something else with those options.

We're also working on the most crazy xxx bike I've done in a while, which is just going to be a hoot.
