oh – just discovered IGN maps online…

Not sure if this has come up before but should anyone be looking for 1:25k maps for France/Switzerland online, in a Google Maps stylee, have a look at http://www.geoportail.fr/en_UK/visu2D.do?ter=metropole

Needs a bit of playing around with to get what you want (hint – add layers for IGN and Swisstopo maps) but works well.

There is also a free app for this for iPhones and iPads!! It’s excellent was very surprised when I found this, you pay hundreds for the OS equivalent!
