Just arrived, still waiting for the X9 2x10, but running X7 for now. Pleased with the raw frame, first impressions are very good but isn't that true of all new bikes, especially ones that cost more than your car.
Its a medium and I'm 5'11. A large would have way too big.

Very nice - good choice, im bias though as I have one in a lovely orange colour ๐
Sweet bike mate
Lovely. Where is this sunshine?
Haven't seen that colour before - proper nice!
I want one ๐ sweet bike. sorry for thread highjack but would these frames be ok for a 150mm revelation fork ?
Stunning,
You're going to have a lot of fun on that beauty!
I would stick withe X7, had x9 on mine and the carbon cage is just crap, broke 3 in 4 months, x7 has lasted me 5 months and the shifting is exactly the same
HI,
I just enquired from Surf Sales about the 150mm forks and they said that it would be fine to put one on and it would not change the warranty situation.
150mm forks would steepen the head angle by half a % or so that's all.
Hope this helps.
That is luuuuuuuuuuuuuuurverly. I really really want one!
that is almost as nice as my new Bandit...........
Awesome bike, the polished finish was a great idea.
I was torn between the orange and raw but went for the orange. A little part of me wishes I went silver still. Very nice.
What pressure you running in the rear shock? I'm 12.5 stone and have 220psi which seems like a lot.
Its southern hemisphere sunshine, I've recently moved to christchurch. 150mm would work, although I do like the slacker angle. The build kit 3x10 X9 but I've gone for 2x10. There has been a delay getting the X9 set up so the bike shop fitted X7 to get me going. I always try to start with a decent build and end up replacing them with more durable bits as they break/wear out. I'm hoping NZ will be a bit kinder to parts.
NICE! I want one of those! ๐
Very nice ๐ raw/silver bikes for the win.
I'm 78 kg and have 170psi in the shock at the moment. Shock set up is still a work in progress. The TALAS fork has lots of nobs to twiddle around with

I think the guide is 10psi less than your weight in lbs. So that would mean that your shock pressure should be 165psi (14 x 12.5 - 10). That does sound low though compared to what you're riding it at at the moment.
However, I went riding last week with a potential customer on a Bandit and he weighs 17.5 stone (245lbs I think)
We ran his rear shock at 220psi and it worked a treat. No bob on the ups with the pro pedal on and plenty of smooth action on the downs! He came close to bottoming it out but did not reach full travel and he was caning it!
We were riding around Peaslake in the Surrey hills if that helps you to get an idea of the terrain.
Hope that helps.
Might let it out to 200psi and see how that feels tomorrow.
That looks 1st class! Is it a 2011 or 2012 model year frame? Maxle or qr at the back?
Love raw frames and that's a particularly nice one.
