I haven't ridden it yet. I had a go, but the step is too close to the tyre and too smooth to scoot it along safely. I need to extend it back and add a grip surface.

Never mind doing a back flip, [b]not[/b] doing a front flip is going to be the challenge.

Just read a article in this months Cycling Active on Penny Farthings,seems like a brake is not a good idea when learning as grabbing a fistful will definetly end in a face plant and from a good height too.
I would love to have a go on one though.
