Mike suffered liver problems from about age 14(now 21) and got seriously ill about a year and a half ago .He had to pack in Uni and spent much of last year in hopspital/unable to do much. Luckily after just one false start he got a transplant.

Good to see he’s back on the bike 😀

I’m currently laid up with a broken leg (femur) when I get back to work I’ve got photo’s of me laying on the ground waiting for an ambulance & when I go to fracture clinic photo’s of the x-rays await. Whilst I hate my current situation I think it’s important to remember how much pain I was in & how much my situation has improved since then, & how much I’m improving day by day & week on week.

Helps me keep my motivation up to keep on the road to recovery.

MIke wanted his hospital experience documented. he asked me to record it in photos ,Mike took loads himself. He did record/upload the video posted further up ther thread himself the day after his op.

I’ve got two boys, Six and three and both love their bikes (hotrock and hotwalk). The eldest is now out with me at least once a week, he rode Llandegla blue last summer and has never looked back.

There is nothing better as a dad than your kids riding out with you, to the original poster i wish many more quality rides with your lad, this thread has made me smile in a good way.
