I thought you guys would appreciate me sharing some images of our current flat in Malaga because we are about to pack it all up and move countries (Zurich). Besides having to get in a lift to get a bike out it’s been a pretty nice place to live, close to 1000m mountains, surrounded by my bikes.

Super sad to leave, we’ll probably be living in a shoebox in Switzerland.

I would say post yours, but it kinda insights someone to rob you eh?

Images are GoPro – I took loads more with an iPhone to construct a PhotoSynth[/url]

Love the dining room. Don’t think my Mrs would let me do that.

Having said that I don’t keep my bike clean enough for mud not to end up in peoples food.

Bit too blokey for me. Nothing cozy or welcoming about it. Like living in a dentists waiting room.

Good grief, it’s a flat in Spain, not a crack house in LA.

as much as I love my bicycles, I don’t think they make good ornaments/ adornments
having said that, I like the cruiser in the living room on top of the cupboard, that looks good – this is as much to do with the actual style of bike as well as the size/ height of the room when compared to the four in the dining area
sorry, wasn’t meant to be a critique, I’m just thinking out loud about how this would look in my flat 😀

Wow. Although I don’t believe my other half could be so minimalist.

Oh to live in places where bike cleaning is not a problem… 🙂

Thanks Dave, though I have been riding DH so much I am worried about AM fitness in your ‘hood now!

could of made the bed properly!

I thought I would take it ‘lived in’; hence random bowls and cups.

I am surprised no one has mentioned the workshop divider (it’s on wheels 😉 )

Don’t worry about fitness. Racing uphill is heavily frowned upon by me. My philosophy is save as much energy as possible on the climbs to use it on the descents.

Ah,the delights of a white walled, high celinged apartment in a European city. Lovely – very relaxing (though a little heavy on Ikea TBH).

You own approximately one tenth of what I do – I think I need to downsize….

Were you one of the removals guys packing up my house yesterday..? A single pantechnicon wasn’t enough…. 😳

my white kitchen has a white colnago and white giant carbon road bike as decoration… the mountain bikes have their own special summer house where they can get muddy and rub up against each other.

Loads of sofas for all the cool hip parties we have 😀

Cool hip parties don’t involve sofas much. Nice place, bit too clinical/minimal for me though.

…and then it all magically turned into boxes and disappeared into a truck.

Ta for all the positive remarks. Mrs Flamejob asked why I put the pics here and I said ‘well, it’s the kinda thing I like to see on the internet so why not’.

A week of guiding DH here then a month in London, after which the Zurich experience starts.

cool hip parties are all about the sofas!

do you have a deal with the missus that every time you buy a bike she can buy a sofa?

I didn’t show you her shoe nook!

A tip for anyone that is moving internationally. Pack the bikes yourself. In our last move they bent 3 bikes’ discs and a seat.

We’re in Zurich now. How I miss our old place.

My mountain bikes are now packed into a nuclear bunker…

    Poor things.
