My cranks/rings are knackered, and I bought some new ones from CRC. My current crankset is 110 BCD, the new ones are 130 BCD.

    Will these fit?

No as the holes for the crank bolts are in the wrong place.

130 rings won’t fit on 110 cranks, but if you bought a whole new set of cranks, too (not clear in original post) they’ll be fine as long as your BB is compatible.

you’ve probably gone from compact to standard so you may have to move the front mech, too.

and get a new chain ? if you have gone bigger?

Looking at them, the old one is 50/34 and the new one is 53/39 (still looks compact)

that is indeed compact and standard respectively.

it will be harder to go uphill

More importantly, Does it come with a crown race??

compact to standard you’ll only have to move the fornt mech up, so you wont’ need a new front mech cable.

(doing the other way you can need a whole new front mech inner cable if there isn’t enough slack)

Nope – moved up to clear the larger 53 tooth ring.

^ It kind of makes sense to me the first way round….the chain ring is bigger so the mech should be higher?

It depends on the routing for the front mech, if it’s downtube and you move the mech up you’ll need a new cable.

Road bikes are always down pull cable, so yes if you’re going to need a new front mech cable it will be when going from compact to standard. It’s only a few mm’s though, so you should be absolutely fine unless you have particularly short cables!

The bigger issue is the fact you’ve just made your gearing a hell of a lot taller!

bollocks, yes it is the other way round to what i said.
assuming like most road bikes you have under-bb routing.
I was mentally visualizing my mtbs cable.

And again, road bikes are designed to have down tube cable mounting. You won’t find top pull road front mechs. On the odd cross bike that does that you have to use a Speen type pull converter.

But, as you’re moving it about 5mm I’d still not expect you to need a new cable.
