Got a new Scandal with a 31.6 seatpost hole and want to run my 27.2 Ti post in it.

Bottom of the 100mm shim I have seems to be about level with the bottom weld on the top tube due to the ‘big & dropped’ top tube arrangement and I ‘d like a bit more overlap.

I can see that MSC do one; http://www.mscbikes.com/components.php?idioma=2&familia=0151 (the 120mm Alu one, not the eyewateringly expensive 130mm carbon at the top of the page).

Any ideas where I can get one in the uk or a similar length alternative?

    i’ve got a better idea…

give me your 31.6mm equipped scandal frame, and in return i’ll give you my 27.2mm equipped version.

    everyone’s a winner 😉

If you’ve got a Lynskey Ti post in 31.6 I’d swap for my 27.2 🙂

I had the same problem. Frame cracked despite having minimum insertion length i.e. 100mm of shim. Replacement frame is now fitted with two USE thermosplastic shims glued together! Keen to hear if someone makes metallic shims in a decent length though.

found this on a German site – will probably order one later today if nothing more local turns up.

ordered that fantic26/msc one – hopefully won’t take too long to arrive.

    Was £12.80 including postage.

Arrived this morning – can’t argue with that for delivery from Germany 🙂

    Retail boxed product too.
