After a week of coughing up the thickest mucus known to man I’m off to the quacks. I have never felt so weak and asthmatic for years. Odd how your body can wave a white flag so quickly and determindly. Hate antibiotics- side affects are grim.
Is best advice to ride it out and keep germs to yourself?

I can remember distinctly the point I started coughing, it was a flight back from aberdeen on the 30th October. I’ve not really stopped since.

    good luck…

As someone who used to get lots of colds all year round I am a big convert to daily vitamins, I take Berrocca all year round. I rarely get a cold now. Its more preventative than a “cure” though

I take Centrum Sport, but have 2 kids and a wife with a compromised immune system so get bombarded from all sides.

The bad news is, there’s a hell of a lot of it about this year – milder weather seems not to have killed off some of the bugs around – so it’s hard to escape it. The good news is it doesn’t need to take six weeks to get over, although taking it easy for the worst week(s) is wise.

I cut out cardio stuff, but stuck with strength training. Generally, a bit of fresh air and a leg stretch seemed to help at all times.

Best advice is to kill the virus with curry. Bloody hot curry – you won’t be able to taste it anyway, so consider going up a level for maximum cleansing effect.

Ooooh. You lot know how to cheer me up! Finished work until New Year, shiny demo bike to try out while I’m off, coughing, spluttering and feeling absolutely rubbish and, from the sound of it, not going to feel better any time soon.

    Thanks all!

Day 4 of said affliction. Looks like I’ll be even more grumpy over this holiday period.
