I think there is a Deore Level 12 - 36

Any other options? Ideally without costing the earth (though I am ok to pay more for lighter than a Deore option)

Anything bigger than 36 (or would shifting really suffer?)

Thanks

I think 36t is as large as you can go due to rear mech clearance (which is why the mech had to be completely redesigned for XX1)

Thanks guys

Any ideas where I can get an SLX or XT 12 - 36

My web search skills seem to be letting me down ๐Ÿ˜•

"an SLX 12-36"
Is there?

I've seen a deore HG61 12-36 before, but not SLX or higher

Only Deore one in 9spd, & you need planning permission to run one because of the weight of the thing.

HG-61 12-36t only, no XT or SLX derivative in 9 speed

I run the Deore 12 - 36T cassette & ok it's not the lightest but I'm prepared to put up with that for the monster 36T granny ring ๐Ÿ˜€

I actually use the 11T small ring from an old 11 - 34T cassette rather than the 12T ring as I use the bike for commuting too.

The only problem I had was getting the mech below the 36T ring & I had to use a longer bolt on the Mech to ensure it cleared it.
