That’s a pretty good full bike price to say you can buy through a dealer as the wheels are better than most if not all bikes at the same price.

Like! (except the curve on the downtube)

Ah – didn’t realise the build kit was cable disk. This might be a good thing for me (I like cross tops), but many will prefer hydro.

Saw one last night with Di2 and fancy TRP (I think) shifters built into the hoods. If I liked that sort of thing I’d like one of those please 🙂

Looks good but £699 for an alu frame seems quite steep.

looks like that includes a full carbon fork and a headset as well.

Cervelo frames are steep for a carbon frame, following that logic.

That Dolan isn’t really comparable though. The Tripster will take 700x45mm or 650 x 2.1″ tyres and is bolt through front and rear.

The build kit is £999, could you create your own build kit for less?

Well you can have a Cannondale CAADX with Tiagra for around the same price and with 105 for a little more. Yes the Tripster is lightly better value, but you’d expect that with it not being a ‘big’ brand.

Not sure why people want clearance for 2.1″ tyres on a ‘cross bike but there we go.

@dragon – £999 is the build kit RRP, the frame is another £699

I suppose the question is could you build a decent bike for £1500 if you spend £699 on the frame only.

It looks lovely but as someone who’s been toying with the idea of swapping their rigid hardtail for something along those lines (and needing to do it on a budget) I have to wonder whether it’s £350 better than the Planet X Full Monty.
