Does anyone know whether you can change the outer shaft/tube for a smaller size? I would imagine the internals etc are universal between the two sizes and only the outer tube is the sized part.

I’ve got a 31.6 and want a 30.9 now so assuming the parts were available at a sensible price, i.e less than buying a new one it makes more sense to me to just change that part.

It is not a stock item for shops to sell AFAIK. I would email 2pure and ask them what they can do for you.

You will not need a new ring from what i remember but don’t quote me!

Might be interested in that if anyone can confirm either way, have yet to dismantle the 3 so can’t comment on the internal state of the outer, guides/grooves etc.

From the top of my head no.

The machining is different for the base plate and the groove guides.

I *think* the base plate is lower by an inch (hence more travel)
