Seeing as this is on my doorstep I decided to go and have an explore as a test of some new bikepacking gear.

Epic views, remote and barren. Navigation was fairly straightforward on a nice sunny day but there are sections where the right route is vague at best.

I cut out the section via Bellever as I’d ridden that before and was short on time. Between powdermills and cocks hill be prepared for some pushing. I think the article is economical with how rideable this actually is.

I forked left at the top of cocks hill and dropped directly into Peter Tavy as its a much better descent.

    Anyway, some pics.

Was a little bit Dog Soldiers in the woods above Burrator on the climb up to Princetown.

Way of the Dead got the better of a local

Nothing but sheep and bog for miles…

Downhill all the way home from here.

34 miles, 3000ft of climbing and ~4 hrs moving time.
