Was it the pink sticker on my top-tube?

Were you wearing lycra? Perhaps they were astounded at the size of your package.

No just normal clothes. I do have an impressive package though, thanks for noticing. 🙂

    your massive bell?

Anyway, aside from such banter, is that one of those german bob-a-like trailers off ebay? Is it any good? After something for urban duties not off-road.

It's an Edinburgh Bicycle Co-Op trailer. £150 new IIRC. It's very solid, can carry a decent grocery shop, folds flat if you need it to, but a bit heavy if that's a problem. I've used it offroad, it's fine.

Is it cause it looks like you've got a Halfords Apollo box in the trailer and everyone is thinking – sucker 🙂

I need a new keyboard, this thread made me chuckle through my morning brew.

Are those pannier bags from Tesco? They look like the ones my mate bought from there.

The panniers look like the they're Edinburgh Bike Co-Op ones as well.

Definitely tempted by one of those trailers.

Panniers are cheap £15 jobs from SJS Cycles. All I'll ever need 🙂

I suppose I could have offered to post that package for you today. (am staying at PP's place this week).

Only just thought of it tbh.

Oh well, at least some car drivers got a giggle. 😀

Although we did buy MrsPP's mum some Tesco panniers for her shopper bike, and they are surprisingly very good indeed for general faffing around

That's actually a very cheap oufit there, let me think now….

£75 for the trailer (Used but VGC)
£198 for the bike (2009 Carerra Subway 1) in a sale, with a £20 voucher that bought most of the mudguards
£50 for a new cassette, chainset and front mech as it was far too low geared as standard
Rack we bought with some vouchers MrsPP won
Bodged bracket to mount my Joystick Maxx on the bars (I go down some dark lanes)
Old bars off the Inbred to improve the riding position
Other odds and sods like lights I already had

£350 all up, so not bad at all. And it's a solid bike, just what I need. 🙂

S'alright Rob, I can post it on my way home at least, I pass the Parcelforce depot on my way home.

They sell some panniers similar at Tesco, were 15 quid also. My mates have been good on a couple of trips.

I've had those on 3 bikes now. Must have done 5000 miles + with them. Couple of holes in the bottom now, but for the life of me I can't see why I'd ever want any more.

You should have seen me with the same outfit just before Christmas, I had to pick up great big load of jam jars (Mrs PP makes jam, pickle and marmalade) which filled every inch of the trailer and both panniers. God, that made a noise!

Those rear lights aren't going to be much use on the way home!

Rich, there's a little light next to the wheel on the trailer….

    Wheel reflectors! Burn him!

Not cool but highly effective on a commuter bike.

Glad there wasn't a crosswind this morning!

That bikes less muddy too! (sorry)
I nearly brought my bobyak into work today and have found a delivery box at work which I need to drop round to someone on the way home – bugger. Will just have to tape it to my rack.

How far do you have to ride to get to work Peter?

    PeterPoddy

Seth – 7.5 miles each way

Wheel and pedal reflectors present and correct, on purpose! I'd rather be seen at 6.30am than not, thanks. I'm packing 2 big Cateye lights to the rear as well, and reflecive on the panniers, my jacket, and my lid

    Who mentioned Blackpool Illuminations?
