I have a bust spoke on my wheels and need to remove the plastic bontrager tubeless rim strip without damaging it. Any ideas?
It's just an interference fit - screwdriver.
Thanks for the quick reply, I take it that won't stop it working properly in the future?
Not if you do it carefully!
I found that getting a screw driver under and then using your finger to run around the rim edge is the best way.
Ta for the advice, not easy to get off but levered it up through the valve hole and then ran a blunt knife round the edge.
I just removed one using an M8 threaded bolt (I borrowed the bolt which holds the saddle on). Screw it into the valve hole in the plastic rim strip a few turns then use the bolt to lift the strip..
