Whats your accurate milage this year on a bike?
I always use my garmin and for the last 365 days it shows: 2,853.51 miles

with 167,858 Cals burned.

I should be a cycling god after this. But im not? ๐Ÿ™

WGAF - riding mountainbikes shouldn't be about miles ๐Ÿ˜‰

it should be about these..

60 miles a week commuting
20 miles night ride
70 miles mid week race
50-100 miles over the weekend (depending on road/mtb)

so in a big week I would do 250miles and in a shorter week around 200miles

This drops in Winter and I don't do this every week so maybe 7500miles a year?

Commuting has made a massive difference to my fitness as you build up miles without trying. Mid week racing is a 30-40 mile race with cycling to and from the event as a warmup. This has nearly killed me some weeks on top of everything else. The mid week races are over so I'm looking forawrd to not having sore legs on Wednesdays anymore.

Approximately 3500 - 4000 miles, commuting and MTBing.
Calories burnt = lots
Calories eaten as a result of all that riding = even more. Oops ๐Ÿ˜ณ

I hit mile 1000 for 2011 just before the first water at Kielder on Saturday.

Did another 43 miles after that, plus 5 miles each on Monday and Tuesday and 2.5 so far today. So that's, erm, about 1055 miles.

Which is rubbish.

Around 2300 since January 1st, mixture of all types of riding.

Was hoping to get around 300 miles per month average over the year but reckon it'll be more like 250, especially when the weather gets worse soon and i won't get out as much.

Jammy Beggar! so you've got an extra hour in the morning and afternoon that most people don't have, you could use that for riding.

Just over 3000 so far, bit less than this time last year, a lot less than the year before.
Smiles certainly are more important but they do tend to be linked, 60 fun* rides by this time last year only 45 this year ๐Ÿ™

*riding offroad for sheer enjoyment not commuting (which can also be fun)

70 miles mid week race

What race is that!?

TLI road race. Typically 30 odd miles but I ride there from home which doubles the distance and serves as a warmup. There's two a week around Newcastle and I tried to do one every other week. There were 10m TT on the days in between. Te road calender up here is so full I think you can race or TT 6 days out of 7 during summer.

About 7,500 since Jan 1st. I did spend 2 months in USA doing 4,000 miles and had done 3,200 before going. Most of these on mtb with close to 5,000 being loaded.
Doubt I will achieve these numbers again - rarely get chance to willy-wave;-)

5,073.51 mi logged this year so far.

Ha! Just realised that I can work this out from my cyclemeter app.

The rides I've logged say 443 miles on the road bike and 326 on the mountain bike.

There have been another few where I've forgot to start it logging or the batteries have run out mid-ride so probably in the region of 1000 miles.

Looking at the above, I'm the laziest bugger on this forum by some considerable distance. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Must be around the 10,000 mark for this last year. With something like 100 off road. Lots and lots and lots of commuting miles in there.

I thought it might be worth resurrecting this to see how we all faired for 2011.

I managed 9,447km / 5,870 miles cycling, but topped it up to over 10,000km with walking, running and some kayaking. I don't think I'll be doing anything near that in 2012.

Bought road bike in April, and have done 3.7k since then.

Running didn't really feature much in 2011, till the end of the year, with 450 miles mostly done from August.

Walking....gawd knows.
