Mate has arrived from NZ on holiday. He carries a full NZ drivers licence and a international drivers licence from the NZ AA.

Want him to be able to drive my car for 1 week.

My insurer wont let me add him to my policy. Tried a google but all the short term policies won’t allow non-eu.

    Any ideas please.

I did this a few years ago – my mum and dad were over from NZ so I popped him on my insurance. It cost about £30 for a month I think but was obviously cheaper than a rental car. That was with Direct Line.

It’s a pity about the “has arrvived” bit how long is he here for ? IIRC I swopped my NZ licence for British and it took less than a week. Nearly killed myself the first time I tried to turn right, but I had a licence and insurance.
