    Back on track…

I have started 2 different brands now in last 6 years, I would suggest…

    Short list 10
Check that a decent domain exists
Check that there is no restriction in brand etc (remember brant started ragley as tweek and found someone already had it)
Get a designer involved and evaluate all 10 with them and your branding

My own suggestion would be prang……

Care to inform me of a ‘better’ or more expensive choice of aluminium as my Mech engineering degree and 5 years experience in industry seem to be failing me! F1 and Aerospace seem happy with it after all….

Are you still paying for it? I’d stop as you were obviously sold a pup

Also stop whining on about bike components FFS. I pointed out the only worth while three words you wrote,

My company has staff that have forgotten more than your 5 year internship in industry would know and as an aside, if that is the limit of your F1 an Aerospace materials knowledge my company has done quite well in ensuring I wouldn’t be hiring people like you.

Seriously, i am interested to know what this alternative aluminium grade is – as i am sure the OP would be if he is starting to manufacture parts that will no doubt be aluminium… is it ‘your’ company or do you clean the unicorn horn material off the floor there??

    Washout/Bin it/Front Door components?

2gNArByfAR ? (no google results, wide open)

On the STW theme how about “Bomber Pursues” my thinking being if you say pursues quick enough it sounds like piss shoes. Both of which seem to be a recommended form of retribution around these parts.

Sorry! No not my company but we are all part of a team and as such yes if asked I would muck in and sweep the unicorn or white elephant for that matter from the floor so “My company” means the company I work for as in not your company “The one you work for”.

I read “my company” as the one you own, not the one you work for.

    Misinformer ain’t wrong. Eh?

Good for you chap, maybe one day I’ll consider the opinion of someone who knows the first letter of the alaphabet and can use it twice as important.

    Up The Bum Engineering.

I would tell you my proper idea but its the greatest name ever and I’m keeping it for when I eventually get around to doing something bike-company related…

Such a material would be very interesting in my line of work… I am perplexed as to why i am not aware of it – though it seems you have forgotten its name?

Perhaps you have forgotten ‘more than my 5 years’ too and it has slipped your mind? 😉

Guys like you give engineering, engineers and british manufacturing a bad name with all of the turds that come out of your mouth, do you get to skim the coolant every now an then so consider yourself a machinist?

    Bob Sinclair Bicycle Components

    Wogan Tech

Apologies for the childish-ness, couldn’t help myself

On a more serious note, picking a colour and sticking the word “tech” after it sounds half decent to me (PinkTech probably being my pick)

[It need an STW link… I’m thinking “Backdoor Components”, “Picolax Parts” or “Shed Beard”]

How about “peace, love, and harmony” then.

Lights are a legal requirement on a bike used on the road after dark – they are not a legal requirement on a bike. There is a difference. I’m a little surprised that you are unable to make the distinction. I guess sometimes being a world authority on a specialist subject means your general knowledge can be a little lacking.

    My idea for the joint venture my company will be part of next year if it is anything like the current one;

All Chiefs No Indians, ACNI for short. If you want to use it for your company can you machine “Shut up misinformer you tedious ****” in a block of 7075 for me please? Ta.

I wouldn’t say world authority , but I’m not surprised you managed to turn the difference into a small homage to your understanding at least

    1. Copy the comment as you normally would in MS word (i.e highlight it all in blue, right click and copy)

    2. Click “quote” just above where you normally type responses into on this here.

    3. Paste into that box

    4. Post.

Or, just copy whatever you want to ‘quote’, say someone says “I like tickling hamsters”.

Paste the “I like tickling hamsters” bit and then add either side (remove the full stops):

    I like tickling hamsters[/quote.]
