Today we hired bikes, bought inner tubes and gleaned route advice from Stage 1 Cycles in Hawes.
The friendliest and most helpful bunch ever.

Are they new? I’ve ridden through Hawes plenty of times and never noticed anything except stacks of motorbikes and a couple of pubs.

Swaledale is ace, isn’t it?

I’ve seen the “shop” in Askrigg but not been to the one in Hawes. I think they started up around the time of Le Tour hence the name.

It’s in station yard, not village centre.

Is that the one inside the old railway station?
