My mind tends to wander at work, so here is where it is wondering today:
Gravity enduro’s is like riding with your mate but the fun bits are timed.
I ride with my mate’s at night.
    Hmmm… 😐
Why not time the fun bits a night.
    Gravity enduro at night ❗
Couple hours to practice the stages in the light then race start when the sun goes down!!!

So that’s what i was thinking while having my coffee.

What do you guys think good idea?

Innerleithen MTB racing have been doing this for years- they do day/night enduros where you race two stages, once in the day then once again at night. Well gid.

Winter Enduro at QECP, sounds like a corker to me 😀

The Inners ones are hard- one of the stages is usually just plummeting down one of the steep but relatively easy DH trails on a trail bike. Which in the pitch black is very exciting.

Not for the first time, innerleithen mtb racing leading the way 😉

It’s great fun tbh. I guess a lot of people if they were to do something like this would be tempted to play safe and do easier trails but their night events- enduro and dh- have been comparable to the day ones.

This sounds like a great idea. If you could organise one at Cannock I would be very greatfull.

Would love to but I am far too busy with more local projects. But maybe some the chase trails guys could look in to?

The Wye Valley Monduro has been running for a bit as well, more of a mates race though.

Sorted some old magazines out over xmas and there is a write-up in the Feb 2011 Dirt magazine of the first Monduro night stages enduro. As Trusty says above 5 months ago, more of a mates race series than a commercial event. Some top entrants though 🙂

Great fun so good luck to you Scottfitz if you run some similar events.
